Our emperor in his newest clothesReader comment on item: That Nobel Peace Prize: Bashes Bush, Handcuffs Obama Submitted by Rebecca Moulds (United States), Oct 10, 2009 at 10:53 Two words stood out for me in the last paragraph: "international celebrity." That's about it---our president is severely lacking in his presidential credentials and appeals rather to the world as a rock star. Who needs a rock star for a president? How about a serious fellow who can really run the country, who understands his role? We are all in shock over the Peace Prize recipient; he should have declined it on the grounds that he did nothing to deserve it, but alas he didn't have the decency to be honest, feigning an attitude of humility. Anticipating that Obama will actually do something to deserve this accolade is like waiting for the UK to have a year-long drought. As I always say when these things happen: I didn't vote for him.
