The U.S should be delighted with its Nobel PrizeReader comment on item: That Nobel Peace Prize: Bashes Bush, Handcuffs Obama Submitted by Dr Arnold MANN (Australia), Oct 10, 2009 at 11:09 I am an Australian and I am pained to read of conservative reaction to the UNITED STATES [represented by its President] being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. For conservative commentators to deride President Obama for not achieving in nine months what the world has been unable to achieve in the Middle East for over half a century shames the United States is as . That a completely different atmosphere has been generated by the President's speech in Cairo cannot be doubted. It is the best hope for peace we have. Without doing all that can be done first, military action if needed against Iran will not be justifiable. Reaching for the gun at every opportunity is cowboy politics.
