Women in history were invisible soldiers.Reader comment on item: Peace Process or War Process? Submitted by Lynn (United States), Oct 20, 2009 at 08:43 Sir, although I admire your doggedness in calling for the world to gird their loins and prepare for a long hard battle in defeating Islamic terrorism that has devoured one fourth of the world while we were fighting other battles, I would like to make one point. To call what you see as the worlds unwillingness to face the words and deeds of those whose goal it is to make this earth a Caliphate with the merciless Sharia Law "effeminate" is a insult to all the women who have bravely fought against injustices throughout history. Many women in the country I live in shed their sweat and their blood and their tears to build this place and know that every freedom and every right has been battled for and never given freely. Many women lifted the hammer and pulled the plow to subdue this land and many died doing it, all the while raising children for the future. I can't let your insult stand. Stop insulting the females to make your point that men have decided that their is nothing worth fighting for and turned their backs on the rest of the world. Women and little children are the ones who suffer greatly under Islam and to use the word feminine as an insult is wrong. Just because the history books often dismiss the female does not mean we were not there and did not have a great part in fighting evil.
