All's fair in love and war

Once again, there is outrage at what Islam is getting away with, but no one seems to be doing anything to stop the insane fatwas that are issued every now and then. It insults me personally that Fatwa #40378, which allows a person to use the Torah or the New Testament for cleaning after defecation, is just fine and dandy. When did Islam start to bulldoze other religions? Was it before or after 9/11/2001? Is this the thinking of just a few crazy radicals or is this how all Muslims view others? The moderate Muslims that I know would never dream of desecrating another religion; I would like to think that they respect me as I respect them. However, it seems that there is an imbalance; that Islam thinks it has more rights than other religions, a concept which is totally wrong and needs to be redressed.
