My learning of HOLY BIBLE is given belowReader comment on item: Istinja' with the Torah and New Testament Submitted by Debanjan Banerjee (India), Dec 6, 2010 at 20:55 Mr. Tovey, You said the following in your last post "that unless and until the Holy Bible is fully read with the Holy Spirit as a guide, that an unguided sense of attempted interpretation by you should be avoided." You might say that you have not read Calvin but your above statement says that you believe in the concept of "grace alone" which says that no human being can understand truth without divine intervention. Now this concept was extended by Calvin to its conclusion as "only divinely selected" people can get salvation and they are the people who can be understand truth. So even if you say you are not a Calvinist your words betray you. And you know what Calvinists (who later became Puritans) were the ones responsible for the massacre of the native-Americans believing that they were pre-destined to do so. Bye the bye I would love to see how you justify the puritan killing of Native Americans by HEBREW HOLY BIBLE . As per as my reading of HOLY BIBLE goes I find it similar to Quran in many senses like where it talks about the Islamic prophets like Abraham , Adam , Moses etc. On other occassions it is similar to Karl Marx's utopian books. Like where Bible says "And the lion shall lie down with the lamb…" (Isiah) it reminds of Marx's Utopian concept of "Classless society". So the question I would like to ask you is that were Isiah or other Biblical prophets proto-Marxists ?
