julietsm is quite right (for Islamists name of the game is hypocrisy)

Dear Dr Pipes: Your reader julietsm is quite correct in effectively pointing out that any selfish minority can use democracy to its advantage because vote hungry politicians will always extend favors to the minorities to win votes. It has been written on this forum thousands of time that Islamists show absolutely no interest in establishing democratic institutions in the countries where they are in majority but are first to demand democratic rights and to exploit democratic institution to their advantage in the democracies where they are in minority. It is also well known that for Islamists hypocrisy is the name of the game.

Unfortunately, most non-Islamic nations are tied to our principles. We cannot adopt Islamist's principles to fight with them. However we can use the tools that democracy extends to us. We can highlight the examples of Islamist's hypocrisy as soon as we encounter them. We need to do it over and over and over again.

A fundamental need of human beings is to be truthful. I believe highlighting their falsehoods over and over again will force the fundamentalists to change their stands. In the long run, the burden of a lie is dwarfed by the reward of a truth.

Muslims need to be reminded that Quranic principles are in direct contradiction to the democratic values that they exploit in western (and eastern) democracies.
