Upheaval Coming from the Middle East - Study Shows Nothing New Under the SunReader comment on item: Middle East Studies in Upheaval Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Aug 11, 2011 at 13:43 Citing 'Middle Eastern Studies in upheaval' is putting a serious situation that the world is heading towards in a rather mild expression of a cry for help, with no humanly rationalized means available to get an answer. In certain excerpts of posts elsewhere here that present extra-Biblical sources of circumstances, such as found in Egypt's history, as potential proximal causes for what we are seeing today, there are compelling theories of how they affected the time then; but here is where history can be taken in and out of context. Many will use 'Middle Eastern' studies to formulate a decidedly doctrinal basis for attempts to configure (or in the case of the United Nations et al, reconfigure) the demographics of the region in and around Israel. Here is where there is the point to be made, that Israel does have a historical trace, even if the Roman connection were the only secular record to be found. Very few modern regional ethnic populations can trace to history in the Jordanian enclave of the Middle East the same way as Israel, the only immediate others coming to mind being the Egyptians and predecessors to the Arab populations. The identification of the others in the immediate vicinity is that they are principally Arabic of various tribal distinctions. Phoenician and Philistinian distinctions are all but nonexistent in the modern context. In this vein, the use of the term 'Palestinian' appears as a modern variation of a tribal distinction for those who are of Arabic ethnicity, absorbed after the modern appellation was applied by non-Semitic advocates (like Britain and others using old Roman nomenclature) for the region and its indigenous populations. It is still poor excuse though, even if a twisted logic of human reasoning can be developed, to be utilized to destabilize the only truly democratic nation in the region to accommodate the hostile intentions of 'wiping Israel off the map.' There is the appearance to some that the unilateral attempt to declare an independent 'Palestinian' state is a latent reflexive action to retake the area that was conferred to Israel in the late forties by the United Nations of out those areas that were known as 'trans-Jordan.' This is where some will call certain 'Palestinians' Jordanian, which in and of itself can be confusing, since Jordan is a modern appellation as well, having no ancient roots beyond the Arabic connection. Historical implications notwithstanding, this is doomed to be catastrophic, for the typical Middle Eastern study syllabus does not arrive at the appropriate conclusion-thus the synergies leading to the upheaval are not fully understood. Specifically, there are no logical explanations for making a connection about the ethnicity of 'Palestinian' populations from a historical standpoint, for there are none that can be proved, not even when utilizing certain assumptions (usually unsupportable by actual evidence). Further, 'Middle Eastern' studies are in actually a sort of methodology to determine the roots causes of the differences of the variant peoples of the region, an understanding of which is apparent thought necessary to try and find a means for all in the region to get along, one with another. One thing that defies the study is that no one holding to a narrowly defined sense of ideology gets along with a neighbor. Further, those that try to make the effort to get along are at minimum ostracized; or worse are set up for escalating acts of castigation and elimination. Therein lays the source of the upheaval, that of not allowing for the execution of the Middle Eastern prime directive of eliminating Israel and making any who want true peace with Israel enemies of the cause. This will be coming to a peak shortly, potentially after the Islamic fast ends; and the other nations of the world will find it necessary to make agreements with the enemies of peace with Israel or find themselves increasingly targeted as well.
