But Which Great Religious Delusion Put Israel in the Land?

So, let us set aside once again, the 'religious' reasoning of Israel's possession of the land, whether thought to be bought or having a right to the land by some words spoken to Abraham centuries ago when Ishmael was sent away and Isaac was given the inheritance. Let us muse for a moment that Christianity was not able to defend Jerusalem a thousand years ago for reasons that history gives, but few understand. Let us bare to the light of reality just exactly why, now, does Israel have possession again?

Was it because of the Ottomans? It is told that during the Ottoman's regime, Jewish populations were present, not necessarily under any heavier oppression than at other times, but still there, correct?

Was it because when Allenby moved in on the Ottoman's, the Jewish presence was there, though mixed in with indigent Arab populations, correct? During the British mandate period, was there still a Jewish presence there, however miniscule, with a 'right to return' denied? During World Two, we have seen the evidence of the SS presence in the Middle East trying to extend to the Middle East that which was being perpetrated in Europe in eliminating Jewish populations, correct? Were there no Jewish people in the Middle East, why were the Himmler troops trying to get at them again?

So, nothing is hidden behind religious delusions, that the Jewish people are being told they have no right by religious expression; but neither by financial or fiduciary investment for many say their money is no good; or by any other means generally acceptable to any other ethnic persuasion; yet they are still there, correct?

But what of the military presence that so many make such a big deal about: how is that working? The Romans were able to enforce a decree to exterminate the Jewish presence, but now they are back. The British forced out the Ottomans by force, leaving room for the Jewish presence in a interim period. The military of the Third Reich tried so mightily to keep the Jewish population from ever prospering again and look where that got them.

Oh, but we must not forget how the mighty and victorious Israeli Army swept into the region to stake its promises to the United Nations moment of notoriety in allowing the nation to be declared and how the Arab forces responded. Then again, and again, and again, how did the tiny military maintain the Jewish presence again? What delusion must we entertain to ignore that Israel is in the land, that possession is in defiance of the most ardent human reasoning of Israel's presence against all the world's intent? What grand delusion must the world entertain still in order to wrest that tiny little piece of real estate from a people the world does not understand?

The Israeli's are not hiding behind any delusion to remain in the land-the enemy will never let them alone for a moment to permit that. Conversely, it is incumbent upon the world to figure out why; or maybe that's the delusion, that the world never does figure it out.
