Isaiah in FulfillmentReader comment on item: Obama's Pretend Counterterrorism Policy Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Dec 7, 2011 at 14:14 In this dissertation, you have skipped theology 101 and moved on to the advanced classes Bible 411 'meat and potatoes' of the Hebrew Holy Scriptures: but why, when you so obviously do not subscribe to the basics. In the end of your dissertation, you make out like the Quran existed before the WORD of the Lord, but with no corroborating evidence. Why is that? Yet we'll try this once again, if not for your sake, for the others still trying to understand what the point of this exchange is. We'll start, again, with the true identity of the Son of Almighty God, Son of David, Son of Man. First, and explanation from the Bible of the angels, and of those which left their first estate and why they are not representative of the creation of man, but as created beings by themselves, they are compelled in obedience to remain in their first estate or are driven away from heaven as was Lucifer/Satan and his demons (former angels-now fallen). Because of the fall of the Deceiver, it is inferred that angels can only operate as they are directed or are condemned to the lake of fire. Further, since they do not share full capacities of being with mankind, they cannot substitute for mankind. There are therefore, restrained to being messengers, which is what the English word angel translates to from the original word. The need for a Son of Almighty God is first mentioned by inference in Genesis, where the LORD says that His seed and the seed of the evil one would be at odds with each other (paraphrased). This is developed in Isaiah, the Messianic prophet to the Messiah, describing the sanctified birth and the capacity of the 'child' in future times. In that you are correct that Almighty God can do ANYTHING He plans, why as humans would we find reasons to doubt this as His plan for delivering humanity from its own path of destruction? In the Genesis Biblical account, man is made in the image of Almighty God. Now why is that? Would it not be for the reason that when mankind fell from grace, that the Redeemer would of a necessity be most like mankind as originally designed? If, as the Bible portrays, we are living in mortal bodies that came from the original design, only now marred by sin, that the Redeemer takes on Himself a supernaturally conceived body in order to have close contact with His creation; is that not within His power? What is there that is withheld that He cannot do? Remembering from the time of the garden, mankind sinned; and substitutionary sacrifice necessary to pay the death penalty for disobedience. The animal sacrifice foreshadowed the sacrifice spoken of in the following parts of the Bible, leading to the sacrifice of ISAAC, which was withheld when a ram was caught in the thicket to serve in place of Isaac. Ishmael could not have been the sacrifice for he was not the son of the promise; Hagar had already been sent away with Ishmael before Isaac was required of by the LORD. It was Abraham's obedience to the command of the LORD to offer Isaac willingly: a foretelling of the willingness of Almighty God the Father to offer His Son for our sin debt. Before Yeshua, the requirement WAS to make sin sacrifices to satisfy the law. After the sacrifice of Yeshua, the sacrifice then and now is to offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and praise to the Father for the completion of the work performed by Yeshua HaMashiach on our behalf. In your missive, where you deny the visitation of the LORD with Abraham, you demonstrate your deficiency of what the scripture says; read it again. There were three that Abraham entertained and fed; only one of them had conversation with him – the LORD. Read the dialogue – Abraham would have never been able to argue a direct command with mere angels. Later, only two of the visitors made it to Sodom and Gomorah – the LORD had no need to discuss with Lot what was discussed with Abraham – the angels were sufficient to the task at hand – so you are correct that Yeshua did not appear to Lot. The words I AM (Yah Weh) have only one specific meaning as spoken to Moses, and elsewhere, such as when Yeshua made that reference to Himself. That is all I am going to list here. If you have not read where Yeshua has correctly attributed worship to be directed to Him, then you have not fully read the Bible. Why does He fall prostrate to the Father – think about it – what are we supposed to do in obedience to the Father – He does so to honor where He comes from. Yeshua finished His first work on earth; thus it was necessary for Him to return to the Father for a season to see the fruits of His labor; and to await the time for Him to reap the rewards of the harvest, shortly to come. He also identifies the Comforter, His representative while His is away. One cannot prove the existence of the Quran before its being dictated by the Islamic Prophet. Existing Hebrew scriptures can be dated to before the time of Yeshua's first appearance, in a script available to the people of Yeshua's time. They tell of the judgment the LORD imposed upon the Jewish people, and of the judgment of the nations that persecuted the Jewish people, judgments still in effect today. While the Christian may be chastised in order to better be in conformance with the Christ-likeness we are promised, it is not to be conformed to shari'a law. There is no advantage for a Christian to be observing shari'a when Yeshua Himself does NOT observe shari'a.
