"Allahu Akbar"Reader comment on item: Dennis Kucinich, Lefty for Radical Islam Submitted by Lactantius Jr (United Kingdom), Mar 27, 2012 at 08:57 To Dr Pipes As an Arabic speaker you will know that Allahu Akbar means "Allah is greater than" and not "God is great," the Qur'anic Allah not being the same as the God of the Bible, the God and Father of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and at the time of 911, Mr John Ashworth the then US Attorney General showed he knew much more about his President by saying, "The difference between Christianity and Islam is that the God of the Bible sent His Son to die for us, whilst the Qur'anic Allah requires Muslims sons to die for him," and that's some difference isn't it? How very regrettable that Dennis Kucinich "quoted the Qur'an with the passion of an itinerant preacher," and urged his audience to get on their feet and chant the noxious chant of "Allahu Akbar," which is used on many occasions by Muslims, be it the call to salat ("prayer"), when slaying animals for food, etc. as a form of confession or a calling out the name and rule of Allah over everything. Very prominently, it is the rallying cry or battle cry among Muslims both in past and present times. As such, it is a statement asserting at the same time the superiority of Allah, Islam and Muslims over everyone else. The Americans Nick Berg and Daniel Pearl, who were abducted and murdered in Iraq, were slaughtered in the same way as sheep during the Eid-el-Adha ("feast of the sacrifice"). Laid on his side, Mr. Berg's throat was cut while his killers repeated over and over again Allahu-Akbar, Allahu-Akbar, Allahu-Akbar. What a noxious thing it is, and because most Westerners are clueless about Christianity and ignorant about Islam, they don't know the difference between the God of the Bible and the Allah of the Qur'an, but they will learn, as Islamic jihadis continue murdering kufars whilst chanting Allahu Akbar, as did Nidal Malik Hasan as he murdered 13 American soldiers at Fort Hood in November 2009, and as did Mohamed Mera during the murders he committed recently in Toulouse, with many other Islamic terrorists in between times using the noxious chant, during their murders and attacks in the West. Just who is this Allah who energises his followers to such murderous violence? Lactantius Jr

I use "God is the greatest," despite its inappropriate slangy quality. Reader comments (73) on this item
