get out moreReader comment on item: Dennis Kucinich, Lefty for Radical Islam Submitted by the Grand Infidel of Kaffiristan (Australia), Mar 28, 2012 at 22:31 Mr Abdullah exhorts readers to read the Bible, specifically: John 14:16-26 King James Version (KJV) 16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Mr Abdullah's contention naturally enough is that the 7th century Burak-riding...is this Comforter. Exactly what sort of comforting has Mohammed been doing, ever? 17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. Quite clearly Jesus is referring to the spirit of Truth. Has Mohammed dwelt with anybody after his untimely death by poisoning? Is Mohammed now somehow living inside Mr Abdullah? Does Mr Abdullah 'channel his inner Mohammed' ? 18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. hmmm, still no Mohammed mentioned. 21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Hmmm, Jesus obviously makes no mention of Mo here at all. 22Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. Nope, no mention of the desert raider. 24He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. Still no mention of Mohammed - Jesus refers to his own teaching, 25These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." So Mr Abdullah contends that Mohammed is the 'Holy Ghost'? And that Mohammed has taught Mr Abdullah and other Muslims all things? Then is it that Muslims by and large are the most illiterate and uneducated people on the planet? Why doesn't Mr Abdullah allow for the fact that he might be wrong in his interpretation of non-muslim scriptures? Christ clearly states that the 'Comforter' is a spirit - or essence. But if Mr Abdullah persists in believing it refers to a human being - there are a myriad of far more worthy contenders down through the ages than the 7th Century arab raider. The Bahai's Bahai Ullah, any number of Sikh masters such as Kirpal Singh, Hindu mystics such as Ramakrishna and Christian mystics like Meister Eckhart all lived after Mohammed and lived demonstrably both more productive and enlightened lives. Mr Abdullah, you need to get out more , both socially and in terms of your cosmology
