Which Dictionary - Mine Calls Jesus Christ LORD

You have a heart that seeks after whatever will suite your inhibition to learning the truth about Biblical doctrine; and it does you disservice.

Are you really going to try to make a distinction about an Anglicized form of name to argue points that will affect your eternal destiny? Does the Name Yeshua suite you better? In reality, what DID Mary (Mariam) call her Son whilst He grew up? We do not know because it is not all that important in the future when He assumes His throne as King. We are told He will be known by a New Name that only He knows at this time.

By the way, which dictionary……since it is known that opinions vary as to which is the most authoritative.

But since you have focused upon the name of Jesus, I would assume you have looked at all the other appellations by which He is known; or no, maybe I would suppose not. Why do you seek Jesus by quibbling about His name? Does Issa serve you better? I think not, since most who use that name do not respect Who He Is.

In the Hebraic, it is Yeshua, the 'savior,'(which is formed in the Greek as Ἰησοῦ) and as associated with His Messianic nature, He is HaMashiach, the 'anointed' (Χριστοῦ) which by Biblical association makes Him the Holy One of Israel. Now, can you guess why a secular dictionary is not going to deliberate and call a name by its appropriate term?

And as for no power, if you do not have Him in your heart, you can bet your eternal destiny you will never see the power a disciple has at his/her disposal. But you have read of or even seen the power demonstrated in the nation of Israel; or are you missing that too?

I have said this to others that have tried the same indiscriminate ages old attempts to discredit Jesus Christ by using the Bible for arguments against belief (a trick of the devils); and they have failed, like you, to understand. If there is no power, why do you fight with the same ancient arguments that cost Rome the world, along with the fact that Islam still has not come to grips with why their message of replacing Judaism and Christianity for hundreds of year is still undone?
