It's a good thing we have heroes like Daniel Pipes around to steer America in the right direction.

I like the picture of Truman....where it all started, eh? Truman, for all his strengths, was most likely a bigot, and his "I don't like list" included Jews as well. The decision to recognize Israel was a political one, as Truman was known to have remarked in this election year..." I don't have an Arab constituency...."

But hey, what's wrong with little discursive manipulation, anyway?
