As far as history is concerned the monster you are talking about had been tamed, beaten, punished and impotent since the days of Vienna 1683. Its lands had been occupied, its sharia made inferior to the European laws , its victims were protected with cannon boats and threat of foreign intervention. In the whole of dar al-Islam one could hardly find a single modern arms factory or any modern military institutions so that jihad had little chance to prevail with its technically backward weapons and organization as was shown in places like Central Asia. In short the monster was toothless and fearful of the mighty kafir.

Now this changed almost overnight and it is not so hard to identify the power that is responsible for the change, is it? And there is one clear and symbolic name for it all "Operation 'Cyclone' : the biggest pro-jihadist operation ever undertaken for all those nasty 1400 years of Islam's existence by any kafiri nation. All the French, British or German support for the Ottomans is dwarfed by this event and its consequences are everywhere to see now, not at least in the US itself that despite 9/11 has learnt nothing. Brzezinski continues to consider it to be one of his most brilliant ideas and refuses to admit it to be a mistake at all !
