Not really. It is you that told me that there are two theories about the origin of islam (which is news to me) and one is what i told you about and that is that it was the Muslim mobeds and rabbis that developed the Islamic theology in the 3rd century of islam in Mesopotamia

You told me that there is another theory and it is about the doctrine of abrogation and all I told you is that even the doctrine of abrogation was developed by the Muslim rabbis and even the story we are told about it that there was a certain hungry goat that ate the palm leaf upon which the stoning verse was written (and I'm not kidding you) is very rabbinical

that it had to be developed in the first place is more troubling. This is indicative of inconsistencies in the text, which they understood would have led to ecclesiological chaos.

From your response I believe we are in accordance as to the influence by later scholars in defining modern day day Islam. The issue is that system does not allow for a challenge to these definitions, causing the tenants of the religion to become stuck in the 10th century.
