A few correctionsReader comment on item: Islam and Islamism in the Modern World Submitted by Ali Baba (United States), Feb 16, 2013 at 17:56 The US government doesn't even spend 3 billion dollars here at home, so there is no question of them spending 3 billion dollars on AIDS drugs in Africa. Furthermore, the US government isn't a Christian organization, but the Catholic missionaries who prevent condom usage and withold complete medical advice on things like abortion are Christian organizations. Any aid money from US government is from taxes paid by people who are Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, atheist, and agnostic. http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/03/06/tennessee-bill-would-make-it-a-crime-to-practice-sharia-law/ Tennessee has passed laws making sharia illegal. Fasting in Ramadan is a part of sharia. So therefore fasting in ramadan is illegal in the state of Tennessee and can be penalized with a 15 year jail term. Now in Florida, the anti-sharia bill that was passed, is only against certain parts of shariah. So who determines what parts of shariah are not kosher under Florida law? Who can guarantee that fasting or praying or avoiding pork won't be next? Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
