Most Palestinians in Bethlehem are ChristianReader comment on item: Is Grover Norquist an Islamist? Submitted by Paul Humboldt (United States), Oct 22, 2013 at 04:08 Most of the Palestinians remaining in Bethlehem are actually Christian, not Muslim. I'm not saying Norquist's wife isn't Muslim, I don't know. But just because she's Palestinian do not make the mistake of assuming that she is Muslim. Why would a Muslim risk his or her life to live in a place of Christian significence? The answer is they would not and have not. But if you ask a Catholic nun who works in Bethlehem named Sister Maria Stephanopoulous (yes, the brother of George Stephanopoulos, even though he does not acknowledge her work through his own), she will confirm what I am saying. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
