Grover Norquist A Fascist, Not A RepublicanReader comment on item: Is Grover Norquist an Islamist? Submitted by Dave (United States), Feb 22, 2015 at 17:14 One thing I'll give Grover Norquist is his refusal to cloak his extreme anti-Israelism in the mantle of jimcrack liberalism. His agenda for lower taxes, less government and gun rights are mainstream conservative, but given his ties to reactionary and genocidal Islamic supremacists, I think that he would be happier associating with paleo-conservative groups like the Aryan Nations or the American Nazi Party. We Republicans are conservatives, not fascists. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: As with the other prominent Republican friend of Islamism, Chris Christie, it's taking a while for mainstream conservatives to recognize this problem. But it the word is getting out bit by bit. Reader comments (32) on this item
