matters of choice and nature

Debanjan, negotiations with the Iranian government are a matter of choice. The outcome of the Iraniam nuclear program is a matter of choice. The oil resources are a matter of nature. If the Iranian regime leaves the natural resources will stay in the ground regardless. The issues of the nuclear program and Iran's energy resources are distinct from a perspective of development over time.

I agree with you that the West's negotiations with the Iranian regime decorate it with global acceptance. Treating Iran's regime as if it was the "natural" government of the Iranian people makes the regime believe they are, as they see it, the god-given government of Iran.
