The Shah's FailingsReader comment on item: The Silver Lining of Obama's Weak America Submitted by Tom Dundee (United States), Nov 24, 2013 at 15:23 The Shah denied the people of Iran the freedom to practice their Shia beliefs as they thought they should. There was no stoning of women or flogging of women for violating Sharia Law. The Shah had allowed women to leave their homes, dress like Western women, and hold jobs. The Shah was a 3d world dictator and nothing more, no worse and in many ways better. I believe women held most of the professional jobs and that was intolerable in the minds of the Mad Mollos. This was the same with Aghanistan under the King, when the King was forced out off the throne, women were forced back into the kitchen, kept barefoot and pregnant. You need to figure out what kind of world you want. Upon independence, Nehru crawled right up Stalin's ass and that may color some of your views about Moggesh taking over Iran.
