I Want To Hold Your HandReader comment on item: The JFK Assassination's Continued Importance Submitted by PiedPiper (Saudi Arabia), Nov 22, 2013 at 14:27 This day has complicated memories for me too. I was standing guard duty on a tower in Korea within sight of the DMZ....I think it was about 3 am local time. I was listening to a catchy new tune on the Armed Forces radio service when the regular broadcast was interrupted with the news from Dallas. (We weren't supposed to listen to the radio while on duty, but we did anyway). Then the regular program returned in time to finish the tune I was listening to. The DJ announced the name of the song and the group: "I want to hold your hand" by the Beatles. I didn't know it then but that moment signaled the passing of an old age and the birth of a new one and for me personally the passage from youth to adulthood.
