LBJ never believed that Oswald acted alone.Reader comment on item: The JFK Assassination's Continued Importance Submitted by David Roberts (United States), Dec 9, 2013 at 00:03 The following statements by LBJ were published in the Atlantic Monthly in July 1973. You have probably never heard of them - ask yourself why that is .... LBJ said; 1 - he believed "that the assassination in Dallas had been part of a conspiracy". 2 - "I have never believed that Oswald acted alone ..." 3 - "we had been operating a Murder Inc. in the Caribbean." LBJ instructed Earl Warren that his commission had to find Oswald as the lone assassin. If they didn't it would lead to WWIII. Furthermore it was proven in a US court of law that Howard Hunt had lied when he claimed that he was in Washington on the day of the assassination. It was proven in the same court that he was in Dallas. In that same trial, Marita Lorenz the ex-mistress of Fidel Castro and a former CIA contract agent, testified that she traveled from New York to Miami with the four men who were subsequently on their way to kill the President in Dallas.
