I do not think Kennedy would have kept us out of the Viet Nam quagmire. He has already started to get us in by Nov. 1963, and his overrated New Frontiersmen such as Robert S. Macnamara would've continued the incrementalism that allowed the Soviet Union and China to match in aid anything we could throw at the North Vietnamese. Kennedy's waffling on Cuba would've been repeated on a grander scale.
