It is not only Obama

Reader comment on item: Obama's Hollow Promises Abroad

Accusing just one person for all the troubles America has is an easy task, but definitely not without any meaning.

It is clear that all this is not only Obama's fault, even though he has great responsibilities for the current situation. it's been almost 20 years now that America has a not very effective preisdent and not only that, but also very hollow and clearly incopetent presidential advisors as well. Most of them probably have remained mind-wise in the cold war beng unable to understand and design a new role for the US, a role that would be beneficial for both the US and the World and some others just took advantage of the situation se to serve personal interests, mainly fianancial.

Bush Junior is implicated in very serious scandals, political and financial, he also led America into an eternal conflict, an action that raises very serious unanswered questions. The result of that was basically to bankrupt America, increase the financial inequality in USA and as a consequence in the western world in general, by a vast proportion. In addition he demolished every good opinion people might had for the US all around the world, it was a common secret that everywhere Americans are mocked, because of the policy followed by Bush Junior. So as a conclusion he harmed America's greater interest inside and abroad equally and he just helped an oligarchy, among them his family, to flourish.

Then Obama came promising to change all this and the world. The problem was that he first had to deal with the vast financial problem that he inherrited. He clearly failed to do so, and this impaired also his effort in foreign policy. Without the appropriate financial means, someone would think that you would actually change the folllowed foreign policy, instead he tried to substitute the American army with an Islamic army financed by the Saudis, supported by the Turks and with relations to Al Kaida, (i do not quite know how it is correctly spelled). So some very "intelligent" guy in the White House thought that since you can't beat the ghosts, maybe it is a better idea to hire them and use them as your weapon. It was such narrow minded this opinion, that this made the whole situation for america even worse, because no sane person would support those brutal barbarians except if he was one of them. The result of all this was to strengthen the darkest powers of Islam, give them actual power to influence the population with harsh anti-American anti-Western attitude with the greetings of Washington!

Who would have thought of such a thing? Washington sticking the hands i their own eyes in this way. The result is that not only America did not improve it's image, but it is being hated even more and even by historic allies all over the world. The most terrible of all though is that every move that Washington does is worse than the one before, it's like an instoppable barrel going downhill, they can't stop doing wrong. They are accusing Russia, China, Iran, Turkey ,Israel, EU, but they have not realised that whatever they do, they just make things worse. I mean, they are giving Middle East to Putin as a present what is he supposed to do, refuse the offer? They are talking about the Pacific pivot, but they are giving Taiwan, Korea and even Japan in the hands of China, should they refuse as well?

The most recent success of all was the destabilisation of Ukraine, have they realised, that by such attitudes they just lose any remained prestige, all over the world.

Let me give you a small example, you are looking to buy something a car, i do not know, a house, who would you trust to buy your it from Kerry or Lavrov if assumingly were the sales men, it is as simple as that, nobody trusts America and the worst thing, rightfully so! America has completely lost it's credibility, one moment the officials say one thing and the next moment another and it all comes down to "peace, democracy and supposed prosperity", but who is going to believe them? Name one country that lived in peace, democracy and prosperity after American interference or after the exploitation of it's resources by the American industrial consortiums. I am sure that the president talks about peace, democracy and prosperity and the people in foreign countries listen blahblah and nothing more!

I have written again that the West remains without a vision and as such we are going to fail!
