Replay of mistepsReader comment on item: Iran's Nuclear Buildup and American Irrelevance Submitted by John R Peacher (United States), Feb 23, 2014 at 21:01 Why has Israel waited to act with force? This whole thing reminds me of Western Europe refusing to counter repeated hostile actions by Hitler's Germany in the 1930's. If not for men of the character of Winston Churchill we would all be working in German slave labor camps or be ashes scattered on German gardens for fertilizer! Mr. Churchill was mocked and ridiculed for years by his countrymen for being a war monger; when a war monger is exactly what freedom loving nations needed to confront the madman Hitler. I have a feeling of "here we go again" with other insane leaders seeking weapons that could wipe out millions of innocent people on a whim. What would Hitler have done if he had a nuclear weapon? The same thing Iran is going to do if they acquire one. What is the delay all about? This thing could have been over by now if the United States would regain it place of primacy among the nations of the world and start acting like a superpower that can demand respect from other nations without the ability to confront rogue nations such as Iran.
