Religious and ethnic minorities in the Middle East do not trust neither Europe nor the USReader comment on item: Hello, Kurdistan Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Sep 10, 2014 at 06:54 Dr. Pipes If there will be a Kurdistan it would happen not because of help and support from the US and Europe but it would happen despite of the grand misguided plans of the US and Europe for that part of the world The way it stands now none of the religious and ethnic minorities in the Middle East be it the Copts or the Maronites or the Shia or the Yazidis or the Shabaks or the Kurds or the Alawites or the Druze look up to Europe or the US for guidance or support and I suspect in due time Israelis would realize the same that if Isreal is to be strong it would happen despite of Europe and the US Many of these mini-nations regard the US under the leadership of Obama as a supporter of Islamists and therefore of terrorism. And even financial help to countries like Egypt does not work any more and I'm sure you are aware of the recent Tahia Masr fund where wealthy Egyptians (and there are many) put money in the fund and the goal of the fund is to collect about 80B Egyptian pounds which is very close to the mount of financial aid given to Egypt by the US and Egyptians plan to tell the US to and the words of many Egyptians :"To take a hike" As for Tukrey and Erdogan? Most Arabs have no like or regard for our so called ally Turkey which happens to be the biggest enemy of Kurdistan and biggest supporter of terrorists and ISIS
