Keep RepeatingReader comment on item: More on Turkish Support for ISIS Submitted by Kuvayi Milliye (Turkey), Sep 15, 2014 at 05:51 Slanders and insults wont make you win any debate. Since when liberating your own city from a foreign invader after 3 years of invasion is a massacre? Maybe in the Greek wonderland of genocide it is. Greek school books promote the Greek invasion of Turkey between 1919-1922 and the systematic ethnic cleansing policy of Greek army as, "from whom the did Greek army invade Anatolia to liberate it in 1919". The hallucinations of the Orthodox church is not real history. --- Greek High Commissioner in Izmir, Aristide Sterghiades, and the Greek General, A. Papoulas, had warned that the Greek army might burn the city. The Armenians, too, were accused of collaborating with the Greeks in their sordid deeds in order to cover up their bomb throwing, sniping and arson. The US Vice Consul Maynard B. Barnes, no friend of the Turks, admitted that it did not seem logical for the Turks to destroy Izmir. On the morning of 15 September the Vice-Consul called with Captain Hepburn on the Governor Abdul Halik Bey, and upon Kazim Pasha, the military governor of the city. Captain Hepburn stated in his diary, - The Turks had been so proud to have preserved Izmir intact throughoutn all the devastation caused by the Greeks, but the Armenians and Greeks have defeated us in the end. (Hepburn Diary, 15 September 1922, Quoted by Marjorie Housepian, The Smyrna Affair, New York, 1966) --- On 20 September, the Turkish Legation in Stockholm issued a communique, stating that they have received telegraphic assurances that the fire in Izmir was started by the Greeks and the Armenians, who had set fire even to their own buildings, in order that the Turks might not be able to make use of them. The Legation pointed out that there was "absolutely no reason for the Turks to destroy their most beautiful city next to Istanbul, now that they had definitely retaken it. (British Foreign Office Document FO 371/7894/E9946, Patrick Ramsay to Curzon, 20 September 1922) Here are a few examples of your unarmed, innocent Armenian "genocide" victims. - Kill Turks and Kurds wherever you find them and in whatever circumstances you find them. All Turkish children also should be killed as they form a danger to the Armenian nation. (Hamparsum Boyaciyan nicknamed "Murad", a former Ottoman parliamentary who led Armenian guerilla forces ravaging Turkish villages behind the lines, 1914) - I have no doubts about the will of Armenians about killing their Muslim neighbours.Armed Armenian Dashnak gangs are working with extra ordinary savagery. (Page 907, Document Number 609, 28th of November, 1919, Mr Kitson to Sir E. Crow, British Foreign Policy Documents) - I have talked to Mr Khatissian. He informed me that, they received 25.000 rifles, Armenian army has 30.000 Russian made rifles and one million bullets. When the Greek advance starts, Armenians will instantly join the attack. (Page 629, Document Number 590, 4th of July, 1920, Amiral Sir F.De Robeck to Lord Curzon, From British Foreign Policy Documents) - Western powers to Armenians, If you fight with us against the Turks and if the war ends successfully for us, we promise to give you a national home, liberty and independence. 200.000 Armenian volunteers sacrificed their lives for the cause of Western powers. Armistice was signed and peace concluded and the promises given to the armenians were forgotten. (Fridthjof Nansen - League of Nations, 16th Plenary Meeting, September 21th 1929) You can keep on repeating now.
