ISIS - how to stop them if west really wanted tooReader comment on item: More on Turkish Support for ISIS Submitted by BobKnows (Australia), Sep 21, 2015 at 10:41 Any army needs a logistical supply chain - and this idea all over western media that ISIS captures all its weapons and munitions is ridiculous. The media treats us like idiots. Sure they probably captured lot of small arms at certain times, but those guns need constant ammunition supplies, and these run out fast in wars. So someone is resupplying ISIS in bulk - and by bulk - I mean lorries and lorries in big convoys. That is how armies work and stay supplied and able to put up a fight - they require millions of small arms rounds just to hold their lines and for any offensives. They will burn through millions of bullets every month if not weeks in any actions in Syria and Iraq. So where are the convoy lorries coming and going from? The is the easiest way to stop ISIS, is follow the logistics convoy and control the routes and they will wither away unable to fight. Now, satellites can do this, but even easier is to simply look at Syrian situation map - where is it that Syrian Air Force jets can't go to hit the supply lines of anti government forces? Answer, the Turkish border and Jordanian border, where they will encounter Anti Aircraft Missiles from their hostile neighbours. Where are the convoy routes then, guess - straight out of Turkey and Jordan and into Syria and from there to Iraq. Any intelligence officer can see this a mile away - but our media keeps telling us they capture their munitions in actions against their enemies. This is horsesh*t. They need masses of munitions and someone is sending them those trucks from deep in Turkey and Jordan, where huge volumes shipped in air cargoes can be loaded onto those trucks. Obvious candidates are Sunni muslim Saudi Arabia and Qatar (whose Wahabbi Islam is anti Assad, anti Iran, anti Hezbollah, anti Shia, anti Alawite, anti Christian) and of course the USA's closest mid east allies. The truth is a strange thing, and kind of depressing. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
