Togo Mizrahi and Shalom (Leo Engel) and the Egyptian movies and an old movie

I wanted to share with you and your readers this old and rare to find Egyptian movie from 1934.

Just a very short introduction to Egyptian cinematography: The golden age of the Egyptian movie industry was from the 1930's until the early 1970's and the actors, producers and technical support were not just Egyptian Muslims and Copts but also Egyptian Jews, Italians, Greeks, Syrians, Lebanese and Iraqis. And no doubt that Egyptian Arabic became the most important form of Arabic in the Arab world because of not just the movie industry but also the arts and mass media.

This movie el-Mandoban المندوبان was made in 1934 the producer and director was Togo Mizrahi توجو مزراحي who was an Jewish Egyptian from Cairo and the leading actor was Shalom شالوم (Leo Engel) who was an Alexandrian Jewish Egyptian and the movie is absolute magic for aficionados of the Egyptian movies
