Golly, you nailed me, dhim! I'm also overweight. Alas!

So what? His name was Rafael, so he's Jewish, so he has two opposite opinions. Tell me something new. No, don't.

Look, dhimmi. You said "Shame on you!" to me, and you know very little about me. We disagree about a definition. Should I be ashamed of that? What makes you so sanctimonious, that you go around "shaming" people? You're an atheist, for heaven's sake! You don't believe in a God or god. You think we can just make up the rules as we go along, and define them any way we want, and it doesn't matter because we have no inteligent Power to answer to. So what's the point of pointing fingers and "shaming" people? Will you send them to hell? to Purgatory? to Hades? You think humans are just smart animals. Where's the glory or shame in any of that? Should I be concerned, when you say I should be "ashamed"? For what? For disagreeing with you?

I wish you the best, wherever you are in the US. Where I am, the rain has let up; and the wind is gently tossing rust-colored leaves off the Japanese maples. I love it. I'm happy. God has been very, very good to me, and I thank Him for it. I don't feel the need to go around shaming anyone about anything.

I tried that stuff for a while, once, when I was young. I hung out with some real heavies, who wanted to overthrow everything and make a Utopia on earth. Then I had a talk with God, and put that stuff away.

I'm sort of sad, for what happened to the Armenians back then. My best friend's mom was an Assyrian Christian. Her father came to this country because his whole village had been killed. She was a wonderful woman, who loved to read the Bible with people. If you would have asked her whether her family had been "massacred", "murdered" or "genocided", I don't know what word she would have used. She told me they had been "killed", if I remember rightly.
