Already praying for Christian Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh

Dear Dr Pipes, Azernaijan is considered to be the most secular among all Islamic countries. So was Turkey till a few years ago. Armenia is 97% Islamic by populations (like all Islamic countries are). Recently there was a war between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the small Nagorno-Karabakh region. This region is a disputed territory betwene teh two countries. In the past Armenians (also) have not been very kind to Azerbaijani people in this region. During the last two decades some Azerbaijanis were driven out of Nagorno-Karabakh. There is a lot of religion-driven politics in that region and situation in Nagorno-Karabakh resembles that in (so called) Palestine and also in kashmir.

But, recently a major war was fought over this region. Azerbaijani had a decisive victory and, eventually, peace was achieved through a treaty brokered by Turkey and Russia.

History tells us that peace-treaties signed with Muslims can be very dangerous for non-Muslims. Ancient Meccans would testify if they could come back to life and speak. I have already started to pray for the Christians in Nagorno-Karabakh. Bullying will happen in schools, girls and boys will fall in love with one-way conversions to Islam, Islamic preaching will be allowed and other religions will face restrictions and before we know it the region will become 100% Muslim. Pray for Christians in Nagorno Karabakh. And, yes, there are a few Jews and Yezidis over there as well. Pray for them too.
