Dear Diary,

Today was very trying. I finally got a chance to go golfing, but it was another close call. Luckily, I kept my loaded Glock in my bag: We got bushwhacked by some jihadis hiding in the woods along the 12th fairway. I think they were just kids, and they ran away after a few shots. Too bad Mel got it last month; he just didn't see them until he was right on top of that sand trap. And did they have to stick his head on the ball washer?

Well, I guess I'm mentally prepared to meet my son's principal tomorrow. I just don't know what I'll do about poor Jason, what with his classmates constantly beating him up for speaking English and wisecracking about Islam - he's a chip off the old block. I don't know if I can take another lecture on diversity and Islamophobia from Mr. Gawber, but then he does have connections in the ruling junta.

I've heard that the Christian militias have been active downstate, but I doubt that they have much chance of relieving our position here. Ever since the coup last year in Washington, they've been getting clobbered. Just this morning I had to pay more protection money to our local gang, but it's better than getting shot, I suppose.

After golf I tried to relax in front of the telly, but then I had to listen to another rant from the General on how the Zionists are corrupting our youth and conspiring against Sharia Law. Maybe if we still had that old Constitution in force somebody could talk back to that guy. At least I remembered to pick up some toilet paper after standing in line yesterday. I'm running short of ammo, though.
