Submitted by Anon (United States), Jan 1, 2016 at 20:53 Whether it will last and flourish will depend on what drives Dubai's dynamism. The default equilibrium of many Muslim countries is a state where Shariah is sought by a large number of people. The secularism where it exists feels unstable even in countries like Turkey. So I would argue that Dubai's dynamism is very fragile. Behind the glitter is a barbaric muslim country.
