Submitted by Anon (United States), Jan 4, 2016 at 01:58 I agree with Dr Pipes - if anything, economic growth without a corresponding change in the values of Palestinians will be a toxic combination for Israel's safety. Until Arabs wholeheartedly adopt Western values of humanism, secularism, respect for women and minorities and so on any materialistic gains will be fragile. We see this play out in Europe when we look at Arabs living in one of the most modern societies on Earth both in materialistic and value terms and yet this hasn't prevented the Hebdo or the Paris massacres.
