It is one of the requirements for the Masters in Strategic Studies, but is quite brief (usually, not always, a Lebanese fellow wrote an excellent 75+ pp. SRP) as compared to a Masters thesis in a civilian, or traditional university. al-Sisi did not actually earn or compete for the Masters - it isn't very often awarded to the foreign fellows unless they qualify in the English examination at a certain level. So, a paper that is less lengthy or involved than one written by a U.S. officer may suffice. Amusement because
