Disregarding Jihad ComponentReader comment on item: Breaking the Palestinians' Will to Fight Submitted by Keefe Goldfisher, Apr 10, 2017 at 13:09 What's at stake in a true Palestinian defeat is the defeat of Islamic Supremacism and denial of imposition of Shariah anywhere. This cannot be accepted by a religious people. When the religious component is drawn in, there can be no end of revanchist attempts at destroying Israel, till kingdom come. This has been the sad pattern of Muslim rule with non-Zionist cultures, and certainly within the Palestinian culture. That percentage of the Palestinians that would live peaceably with Israelis will always be brutalized by the more pietistic elements (and small numbers of same) in the group. The only thing that will work is crushing and humiliating defeat and a suppression of all Islamic culture, especially Shariah, just as the Japanese had to abjure the emperor's divine lineage at the end of World War II. Islam cannot live peacefully with non-Islamic cultures.
