Dan, Israel has the strength, the military power, and the intelligence. Give the Palestinians the west bank back to the 1948-49 borders. Then tell them they can have whatever else they want. Be the leaders for both groups, negotiate from total strength and take the bull by the horn. Dan, I've given you the ideal, now make it reality. Nothing naive here. The only potential obstacle is timing (and people like you!). The only reason this wont work is because Israel lacks the desire.
