All Germany is staring with disbelief at Merkel's decision to take in 1.5 million people. Why? is what everyone asks. Merkel's response always starts as follows "I am convinced ..." However she has never stated what convinced her. Is her conviction a result following from facts, events or other communicable arguments that would lead to her most radical decision? Her motivation remains The enigma of Merkel's self-radicalisation.
