Criticism of Israeli security forces...Reader comment on item: Why Palestinian Delusions Persist Submitted by David (Israel), Nov 18, 2017 at 16:02 ... The truth is, when Muslim Palestinians go berserk over some "holy" place, Israelis die. Countering this by pure force only is impractical, as they are driven by religious fanaticism and there are millions of them. In such situations it is possible neither to reason with them nor contain them by naked force. Israeli security forces' job is to provide maximum possible security. Whether this means preventing economic situation of Palestinians from deteriorating and fueling further murderous outbreaks, shooting them like mad dogs when they go on a murder spree, curtailing Palestinian terrorism through collection of timely intelligence and raiding them before they act, or - more realistically - doing a combination of all these, Israeli security forces are doing a great job. Blaming them for using economic drivers as one of the tools in their arsenal is [wrong] Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
