Muhammad v the Jews, Syriac Christians and the pagans of Mecca!

Muhammad was a poor theologian He tried to sell his religion to members of the far superior civilizations of the late antique Middle East be it the Jews of the Syriac speaking Christians or even the pagans of Mecca And they did not believe him

Check al-Tabari's tafsir of Q112-1 and you will realize that both the Jews and the Meccan pagan did not believe him Muhammad just did not make any sense and this could very well explain why early on Muhammad was nice to the Jews the Christians and the pagans of Mecca and when they rejected him he became vile
