The author of the Qur'an was not a systematic theologian

Hi Prashant

You have to read Q9:5 and 9;29 and 9;30 together so here we go:

1. Q9:5 is called by Ibn Kathir and other Quranic Mufasereen as Ayat al-Sayf or the Sword Verse (holy war and no Jihad has nothing to do with some bogus inner struggle) where Allah declares unconditional war against al-Mushrikeen! But who are really al-Mushrkikeen? the author of the Qur'an does not tell us and al-Mufasereen come to the rescue and tell us that they are the polytheists! But who are really these polytheists their answer is: Meccan polytheists and only Allahu A'lam which means they don't know

Clearly the verse says: Kill the polytheists and this verse abrogated 124, as per al-Nahhas, Quranic verses as in abrogating the "no compulsion in religion" verse

2. Q9:29 talks about declaring war on Ahl al-Kitab but who are really ahl al-Kitab? The author of the Quran is silent and al-Mufasereen had to do the guessing and they tell us ahl al-kitab are the Jews and Christians and may be the Zoroastrians and may be the Hindus and Buddhists and only Allahu A'lam but what is most amazing is that the word Qatilo or fight could also be read as Iqtolo or kill (see above Q9:5)

3. Then in Q9:30 the author of the Qur'an accuses the Jews of regarding 'Uzair (who ever that is) as the son of Allah which means that the Jews must be polytheists (which is a very stupid remark) and therefore would be subjected to the vile "kill the polytheists" of Q9:5 And Christians are regarded as polytheists because they say that 'Isa (who ever he is) is the son of Allah in-spite of the fact that the same Quran says that Allah BLEW his soul in Mary's vagina (no I'm not kidding) and this is how she got pregnant which to me means that Allah must be the father of the Quranic 'Isa

Notice that this is the same author who regards the Jews as his favorite nation (Q2:40 and 2:47) and a God who is really a true Zionist (Q5:21-22) No I'm not kidding!

And more evidence that the Qur'an is a confused and confusing book written by an ignorant prophet for ignorant people as it says in Q62:2
