Were the early 20th century Turks the only nasty Muslims?

Don't blame the West for the perilous state of the former Dhimmi peoples. The Almoravids and Almohads in Spain were bigots to the bone, driving out most of the Peninsula's Jews well before the Reconquista was complete. It was Muslim Timurids who finally penned the Church of the East in its mountain fastness. Babur boasted of killing 60+ millions of Hindus.

Islam is inherently supremacist, as the article makes clear about what Dhimmitude really meant (burn your school textbook: it lies, lies, lies about Islamic "tolerance"); mix it with 20th century nationalism, and you get something ultra-toxic.
