In this article of yours on Syria you have clearly mentioned that

"prevent the stronger side (now the regime) from winning through the provision of intelligence and arms to the weaker side (the Sunni rebels)."

Here in this case the ISIS are also Sunni and moreover the non-IS brigades also support IS by selling their US-funded weapons to them. Therefore the provision of intelligence and arms to the SUnni rebels mean calling for support of the IS.

What is your view on this ?
