Strange list

"For two and a half centuries, the Left has been a font of terrible ideas, socialism foremost but so many others too, including: the noble savage, emphasizing equality over freedom, progressivism, the administrative state, the personal is political, anthropogenic climate change, white guilt, marriage for all, and the "childfree" movement."

What's terrible with socialism? Under the current right wing definition of socialism all (western) Europe is socialist. However life there is much nicer than in capitalist US.
What's terrible with progressivism? Should we praise "regressivism", return to dark ages?
What's wrong with anthropogenic climate change? Has the eminent scientist Donald Trump established that it not so?
etc.
