A violent war is unwinnable against MuslimsReader comment on item: Reflections on the Debacle in Afghanistan: Interview Submitted by Prashant (United States), Sep 8, 2021 at 19:06 Dear Dr Pipes, Not all troop withdrawals are created equal. Trump's troop withdrawal from Afghanistan would have been smart. Biden's is dumb beyond description. I think I first heard this idea in a TV interview of an Israeli leader. He said that wars against (the so called) Palistinians were difficult because 1) the Muslim forcez had no deterrence, and 2) they had no ethical standards. What holds for the Palestinians also holds for the Afghans, Taleban, alquaeda, and the other religion-of-peace groups. The only rule of military engagement with Islamic societies should be to never fight with them and never give them arms (if they learn to build their own arms, they will have to learn mathematics and physics and half the battle will be won already!). And, that leads me to the difference between Trump and Biden. The third rule of military engagement with Muslims is to never leave one or all of you undefended against the Muslims. Trump would have made sure that every American interest is defended till safe. Biden is too distracted to read between the lines of Trump's plan. So, who is the next person or thing standing defenseless against Islam? Our forces should guard them.
