Where Have You Been For The Last 30 Years, Frank?Reader comment on item: Mr. Palestine? Submitted by orange yonaton (United States), Nov 28, 2007 at 19:36 "I am very optimistic, and perhaps too optimist, to expect good results from the Annapolis meeting, but we must make this good faith effort." No, Frank, we mustn't. We've been there, and done that, over, and over and over again. And every time we do, things ALWAYS get worse. The so-called "Palestinians" don't give a squat about your hope, or their children. http://www.geocities.com/palestiniansarelies/HumanShields.html All they care about is killing Jews, Americans and anyone else who gets in their way. Patience is futile, and optimism is foolish. Our "patience" buys them time for them which only gives them "hope" for their cause, and as long as they have hope, and it costs them nothing to continue their savagery, what incentive do they have to change? Every concession that's been made to them has been met with more outlandish demands. Their lust for what isn't theirs is insatiable. As we read at Palestinian Media Watch,... "Day after Annapolis: Palestinian Authority TV shows 'Palestine' map erasing Israel" by Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook - November 28, 2007 http://pmw.org.il/bulletins_nov2007.htm Their whole phony existence is based on a lie, which is consistent with the fact that they almost never tell the truth. http://christianactionforisrael.org/isreport/june01/ceasefirelies.html And, when they do, saying they want to destroy Israel and the West, we don't believe them. That's monumentally arrogant on our part, to think that just because we want peace that desire will force sadistic savages to lay down their weapons and be nice. I posted this before, but maybe you missed it, so here it is again. http://youtube.com/watch?v=cd5aA_kIDzY They must not have the freedom to establish a terror super-state in the heart of Biblical Israel. And, even if there were hope for peace, it would still be pure perversion to give them our land, because it is Jewish Land that has nothing to do with Arabs, and certainly not violent ones. The other problem, besides the evil intentions of the "Palestinians," is that the Israeli government doesn't care about anything but retaining power, and if they think negotiating and relying on foreign powers will help them do that, then that's what they will do, regardless of what Israelis consistently voted for over the past 30 years, or what is good for Israel. It's a hard problem, and simplistic Sesame Street thinking isn't the answer. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
