Fighting Terrorism While Rewarding ItReader comment on item: Mr. Palestine? Submitted by jennifer solis (United States), Nov 29, 2007 at 23:53 Thank you for a well-written and accurate description of what's so often a muddled-in-subjectivity and apologetic exercise in denial and hope, which includes a mis-application of "treat your neighbor as you would like to be treated" philosophy. I've studied the Bible under a pastor who teaches from the original languages, Hebrew and Greek, and nowhere does the Bible claim "Freedom (or democracy) is the Almighty's gift to every human being" - quoting President Bush. On the contrary, the Bible repeatedly emphasizes freedom must be defended through military victory, which includes destruction of the enemy. Indeed, as you state, fighting terrorism while rewarding it will definetly not bring peace; and the Palestinian Terrorist Machine has already won a victory of sorts, with our own President lumping Palestinians and Israelis together with statements like, "...to confront terrorism and incitement, whether commited by Palestinians or Israelis." Before this statement, I thought perhaps President Bush might be giving a politically correct "nod" to the "possibility" of Palestinian/Israeli negotiations, which of course would fail, therefore setting the stage regarding the inevitable dealing (militarily) with Ahmadinejad and Iran. Now, however, I'm completely baffled. There is NOTHING that can justify equating Israel defending herself with the insidious hatred towards Israel on behalf of Palestinians. President Bush would do well to accurately interpret scripture, and identify who the enemy really is.
