How Islam is different from other religionsReader comment on item: Did Michael Jackson Convert to Islam? Submitted by Hamid Mahmood (Oman), Jan 1, 2009 at 21:18 Dear Kaffiristan, Yes all religions teach good things but Islam is different than all other religions. It also guides as for implementing those good things as well. Its a compelete way of life. Islam was implemented in letter and spirit in the life of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) while other Prophets could not implement the religion they were given. Before Islam Arabs used to barry their daughters alive. They considered it shame to have daughters. Muhammad(PBUH) preached to respect women. He taught; heaven lies under the feet of your mother. He used to get up when his daughter Fatima come to meet him. Islam guides us to help the needy and very poor people. To do that it has given the rule that all the muslims must pay 2.5% of their savings in charity in a luner year. All the practicing muslims men and women do it religiously. The banks dedect 2.5% from the yearly savings from the saving accounts. if individual wants to give it to known needy he/she can get the money out of bank and distribute it himself amongs poor. Imangin if this rule is implemented in the world, there will be no poor left . The punishment or raping is deth. In USA alone about 3000 women are raped every day. If this Islamic rule is implemented in USA, the crime of rape will be reduced to neligible. In this way rules and guide line are given which must be followed by muslims. Islam is the only religion which was compeletly precticed. Islam is the only religion which give solution to humanity. For example divorce is not permitted in Christanity( we muslims believe that Bible has been changed as it has many versions) but in Islam divorce is allowed when it is no more possible for a man and woman to live together any more. In Islam a woman can take divorce if she does not like her husband's company anymore despite that her husband is well hehaved and still the same. I use "only" because it is our believe, its fact for us not fiction. For you it may be fiction which I can not help. Its up to you to accept it or not. The Arabs who were nothing, defeted super powers of there time after accepting Islam. There was a time muslims rule streatched from India to Spain. When they stopped practicing Islam in letter and spirit they are back to squre one. I think either you dont know compelete life history of the Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) or you are a totally biased person towards Islam. Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) was the most noble person of Mecca even before reveletion of message of Islam on to him and he was elevated to Prophet by Allah. When his first marriage took place he was 25 years and his wife was 40 years old. Aysha was the daughter of his closest friend Abu Bahar and she was off age at the time of marriage. She preached Islam for 30 years after the death of Prophet(PBUH). An American, Yousuf Estes, who preached Christanity for 30 years, and then converted muslim, gave a comprehensive lecture on Peace TV on married life of Aysha and Prophet Muhammad(PBUH). Aysha was extremely happy with her married life. This lecture is off and on screened on "Peace TV'. I hope you watch it. My dear XYZ( you dont write your name), muslims are not 1 or 2 million people, following some backward religion as you may think. There are 1.25 billion muslims in the world who follow Koran and Muhammad(PBUH). These muslims include scientists, doctors, scholars, writers and very successful people in all fields of life. The muslims who have earned great achievements are mostly good muslims by faith. At an average 25000 people convert muslims in USA alone. You think citizens of the most advanced country of the world are stupid to accept Islam. No it not. There disturbed soul gets satisfied by becoming muslim. A British lady journalist was arrested by Taliban thinkng that she was spy. She got so impressed by their behaviour that she read Koran after she was released and became muslim. She is now involved in spreading the message of Islam. No one can harm Islam as Allah is protecting it. I will advice you not to waste time in harming it rather study it with open mind and discuss it with some Islamic scholar. Your success in the day here after will only be possible if you accept Islam. My duty as muslim is to deliver the message of Islam it is up to you to accept it or reject it. May Allah show you the right path. Regards, Hamid
