Our dear Terrence and the Aristotelian problem and William of Occam and oh the KISS thingReader comment on item: Did Michael Jackson Convert to Islam? Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), May 18, 2009 at 20:02 Our dear Terrence wrote >Dhimmi makes some convenient assumptions in responding to my post. My post was actually in response to certain derogatory things Abraham had said in his post. I think Abraham realised that I wasn't actually trying to hurt him, I just gave him some food for thought in as dispassionate way as possible. gobbledygook >But Dhimmi grabs a few words from here and a few words from there and launches on his usual malicious diatribe against Islam. Firstly, he accuses me of pontification on the Qu'ran, and anyone can check my previous post to see whether he is right. I think this is hardly the forum for religious discussions. There are numerous sites (Muslim, Christian, and others) doing that, and abuses such as the ones Dhimmi keeps hurling are dealt with on a regular basis on these forums. More gobbledygook >Dhimmi, if you wish to engage in those, let me know, and I can send you some URLs; but I have to warn you most of them will ignore you if you if you resort to abuse. If you can have an intelligent and 'intelligible' dialogue you can contribute and gain a lot out of it too. Boring >He assumes everyone who writes here does not know Arabic, concluding that as he is the only one who knows Arabic, I know Arabic and you do not. I hurts you so much I see > what he says must be accepted, although I wonder sometimes whether he knows himself what he is talking about. I have a Christian Arab neighbour who used to harass me with the same line of argument i.e since he is Arabic and not from the west, Really? so is pakistan, or is it India, in the west?stop your delusions and get a life >he knows more about Islam than me, and if I knew I wouldn't be following Islam. So I gave him something to read not about Islam but about Christianity, and told him there is more if he is interested. To cut a long story short the harassments stopped, not the least because of his smarter wife I must add. Lesson: Just because you come from an Arab village doesn't mean you are an authority on Arabic, and religious scriptures are more than just language. Boring. where is the beef? >Also, if you are so obsessed with Arabic why don't you go to the Arabic sites, surely there are many out there? Boring >I was right when I said you have to work on your english; you can't recognise that this forum is in english! Oh typical Muslim and when he has nothing to say he changes the subject. So you tell us why did you post your bogus Arabic sentences then you come back and tell us well this blog is in English only. What a hypocrite > Of course, there are other versions of this blog, the word is 'versions' and I would have thought it is pretty obvious. To support your point that you indeed know english you disastrously invoked Aristotle and the KISS principle. This one is a winner and oh I love the word "disastrously" and can I add it to my vocabulary? >Seems you have recently heard about it since your arrival from the deserts of Arabia. Oh you mean the land of Abul Qasim? > I see that you have referred to this without context several times in the past Oh the Muslim context topos thing again >(e.g 28th February 2009 in response to Keith). Oh our dear Keith the convert? .... >Who told you that the KISS was coined by Aristotle? Did I say that and did I say that Aristotle coined the KISS principle mr demagogue? See? the KISS principle does not work on the Muslim mind. Irest my case >He did have some discussion on simplicity in Posterior Analytics, but the KISS idea is of fairly recent origins; I apologise, this is probably going over your head and I'll spare you. Oh William of Occam? No it is Aristotelian mr demagogue. But wait: what does this have to do with your funny claim than this blog is in English and then I checked your old blogs et voila our dear Terrence the tablighee and found your bogus transliterated Arabic ... if you can read Muhammad's sira you will come across the so called Aristotelian problem on pages 572-572 mr demagogue >The point in my post was your assertion that the Qu'ran says "Jesus is God" suggests that either you know very little of Arabic or you are so full of hatred that you will resort to anything to make a point against Islam, and I suspect it is more of the latter and a little bit of the former. You have confused God with miracles of God. Again this matter has had enormous coverage elsewhere and I am sure you can enlighten yourself or provide an alternative viewpoint by visiting those. Let me know if you need the URLs. What URL's? Oh I see you have nothing to say right mr demagogue? >My advice is to hold your hatred and you will be able to make your point more clearly, that is how it works in the west. Reserve all your emotions and hatred for your Arab village when you go back! You mean Mecca? >Oh and one more thing! This business about Indian, Paki and Bangli is getting boring. It just shows that you don't have a good response and you have to resort to the above labels to show your opposition. There must be some of these people around you giving you a hard time, who else would bother about them in this wide world? Poor Dhimmi! So what die we learn from our dear Terrence ? nothing, not a thing ... Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
