Serious reply to Susan BReader comment on item: A History of Muslim Terrorism against Jews in the United States Submitted by Lou from Queens, NYC, USA (United States), May 22, 2009 at 01:27 Dear Ms. Susan B, We are now witness to the utter failure of the socialist multiculturalism mantra that addresses white prejudice but has never coped with ethnic, and religious xenophobia directed at Western Judeo-Christian Civilization. A perfect example being the issue of slavery, and how its taught to our children. All they are taught is the history of the Atlantic slave trade, which mostly involves the Western powers of the time. In fact it was the Arab conquest of Northern Africa that started the slave trade in that area of the world in the 11 th century. Millions of Africans ( 20 million ) were taken from sub-saharan to Muslim North Aftica, and the Middle East. The West did not get involved in this horrific institution until the 16th century, and orginally bought all of their African slaves from Arab slave traders until well into the 18th century. In other words the Arabs were trading African slaves for over 800 years ! By 1783, England had started the great abolitionist movement, which spread thruout Western Europe, their colonies, and America. How many African Americans know this true history of the African slave trade ? How many Africans themselves know that Islam never, ever, had an abolitionist movement. How many educated people know that Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran only officially ended that practice in the 1920's. Oatar, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, United Arab Emirates, from the 1950's to 1960's. And Mauritania in 1981 ! And that even today its still openly practiced in Chad, Mali, Mauritania, and of course the Sudan. Yes Susan B, you won't ever hear too much about the issue on NPR, New York Times, of any of the main stream media. Thanks to the liberal concept of multi-culturalism, our traditional concept of nationhood, one country, language, and culture supported by many different ethnic and religions groups has been diminished. In effect its now vogue to remain as isolated ethnic living apart from the mainstream culture, forever. The problems in France being a perfect example. How does a society that has become hostile to its own culture, history, and religious heritage assimilate people impassioned with their own ethnic and religious identity? How can these immigrants respect the history, laws, customs, institutions, and religious heritage of their new homeland when the natives don't? When we have historians like leftist Howard Zinn whose perception of life in America, is as a glass half empty ? In earlier times admission to and citizenship granted by the host country was the reward in itself. The new freedoms and opportunities offered to immigrants by their new homeland allowed people with ambition and drive to learn a new language seek higher vocational and educational skills and gradually assimilate into the society at large. Today it is not uncommon to see second and third generation immigrants with little or no knowledge of the language of their new homelands. Lawless, isolated and insulated these so-called ethnic enclaves are far more common today then in the past. And are now becoming the breeding grounds for ( homegrown) terrorists. We are now witness to the complete failure of the socialist model. Many Western people have become hostile to their own cultural, ethnic, and religious heritage. A smaller portion now openly celebrate their own debauchery. If we allow our educational system, and mass media only to teach a negative, skewed version of our own great histories, the democratic West will fragment into disorderly, ungovernable societies that will eventually self destruct .
